Behaviour Therapy

Welcome to our world of Behaviour Therapy, where Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is practiced, and clients are provided with Intensive Behaviour Interventions (IBI) to assist in a wide variety of behaviours.  Verbal Behaviour (VB) therapy is also practiced, for those children who are verbally delayed.  We specialize in the treatment of young children with developmental delays/disabilities, working with them and their families to either decrease maladaptive behaviours as well as to increase desired behaviours and/or skills.  We work with children with exceptionalities, such as various Behavioural and Emotional disorders, Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, and primarily with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other similiar Pervasive Developmental Disorders.

Behaviour Therapist

I have been involved in the amazing world of Applied Behaviour Analysis for several years.  I've worked as a Behaviour Therapist privately, with smaller organizations, schools, daycares and with most of the provincial governing agencies in and around the greater Toronto area and York Region.  I possess a Masters of Science in Education where my research and thesis was on learning strategies for children with disabilities (i.e. ADHD, Autism, etc.).  I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from York University, a post-graduate diploma in Behavioural Science Technology, as well as certificates in Education Advocacy and Advanced Counselling.

I have been provincially trained in ABA, attended a number of workshops by notables in the field, hold first aid and CPR certificates, as well as Safe Management and CPI (non-violent crisis intervention) certificates.

Please let me know if there is any further information you would like to know, I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Initial Consultation

Initial consultations are an opportunity for the family to meet me (and/or the team) in person.  At this initial consultation, we will talk about the client, I will review his/her files, the parents/guardians hopes for treatment, pricing, etc.  After this consultation, the family is given 5 days to decide if they want to hire my services as well as I get to decide if I am willing to work with the client and their family.
